oh...it is German, indeed. Barcus-Berry transuder on the bridge? Is he ok?
I love your wild cello play! bow technique is unique.

great cello improvisation! creative. I love your play.
but I still wondering how the cello was amplified.
is the cello German instrument? i think electric cello is very different instrument when we compare it with authentic ones. gypsy cello is an established genre?

Thanks for your kind words! Indeed my cello is German, and I stick a Barcus-Berry transuder on the bridge, which amplify the sounds and allows for effects -- echo, distortion, etc... Gypsy cello is not an established genre per se -- Gypsy violin is...

This is very nice! But I must admit that csárdás is not gipsy music, but tradtitional Hungarian! :-)

Hey! I liked that a lot! I play the cello myself, and want to amplify it so I can equalize and use effects. How are you amplifying your cello? What kind of mic do you use? Do you have a rack, or a pedal? wow, many questions! hope you can answer some. thanks a lot!

Hi Tatetxu,
Thanks for your positive comment! To amplify my cello I use a Barcus-Berry pick-up (installed on the bridge) connected to a regular guitar amplifier *Vox* that provides quite a few effects--e.g., echo, distortion, delay, etc... It is effective but the feedback can be quite annoying and I cannot find a way to reduce it (that is, when I want to get loud its there, period)... You dont get that problem with an electric cello... Hope this helps,
Alain
