AFICC IS

1.An organization composed of Filipino and Chinese Ateneans enrolled in the Ateneo de Davao University.
2.A group of selected Ateneans who proved their qualifications of: - Dedication - Pure interest -Involvement -Culturally-inclined
3.A group of Ateneans aiming to recognize the importance of being both Filipino and Chinese, by conducting activities and celebrating certain Filipino and Chinese events.


AFICC IS NOT

1.A discriminating group of students whose aim is to demote other races.
2.A social in nature group which improves the status of an individual in the society.


AFICC OBJECTIVES:

The organization of the Ateneo FilipinoChinese Community aims to achieve, in its presence in the campus, the following:

1. To incorporate the traditional Chinese culture in the minds and hearts of the Ateneo youth.
2. To unify the Filipino and Chinese youth community while striving for excellence in the University in accordance with the schools Mission Statement.
3. To instill in the young, FilipinoChinese Ateneans the importance of recognizing their origin and the history that binds them.
4. To celebrate their dualistic roots as being both Filipino and Chinese.
5. To relive and preserve the Chinese spirit among the new generation of young FilipinoChinese Ateneans.

  • To all 華菲.

    A friend from Beijing recently asked me: "How come that in mainland China, chinese speaking singers and bands from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan are so famous, but there are none from the Philippines?" I'd like to pass this people on to others (who can actually sing better than me). Why don't we have any internationally successful chinese singers from the Philippines?
