'(Lost In) The Dark Dimension' was a name given to a potential 30th Anniversary Doctor Who special feature length film, which would have been written by Adrian Rickelsford, and in which the 3rd - 7th Doctors would have starred. Unfortunately, the film was never produced, but here is an example of how the trailer for it might have looked.

Obviously, as the film was not actually produced, this fake trailer has to use video and audio extracts from various Who episodes from 1970-1993.

The main audio is a fan made theme tune, created by Eaglestriker on Whomix.
Many thanks to DoctorWhoDVDs for providing the blank title sequence.
Cybermen at St. Paul's Cathedral colourised by DoctorHue.

List of known episodes used (video and audio):
Logopolis
Dimensions In Time
Spearhead From Space
The Five Doctors
Time And The Rani
Warriors Of The Deep
The Ice Warriors
Remembrance Of The Daleks
The Trial Of A Timelord
The Invasion
Mawdryn Undead
Earthshock
The TV Movie
and more.

  • Truly excellent stuff (and what a massively pleasant surprise, personally, to see a clip of 'Ace' from 'Gene Genius' in there! Very, very flattered!) :) A multiplicity of thanks.

  • There are two main reasons why Dark Dimension was never made 1) negotiations were under way for DW film (which ended up as the 1996 film) and BBC didn't want any legal trouble 2) the plot of "D.D" was an alternate timeline where the 4th Doctor never regenerated and was therefore the only Doctor in the story. The other Doctors would have short cameos. The other actors, particularly Pertwee, were miffed that they all had to play second fiddle to Tom Baker. Pertwee called the idea "crap".

  • David Troughton actually did recently play the Second Doctor in a Fourth Doctor audio play released last month called "The Hexford Invasion" and "Survivors in Space" as part of a series of audio plays produced by BBC (not to be confused with the plays done by Big Finish). Its not good but David does a great job playing his father.

  • @Gojirafan101 or rewrite it with the second doctor and persuade david troughton to play the second doctor

  • @TimelordTVRevolution

Seems possible to me with news of Tom doing audios and all they need is a good Pertwee impersonator

  • And we ended up with Dimensions in Time. WHY OH WHY lol. Come on BF do The Dark Dimension [please]

  • My god that writings fast

  • The cybermen had a total makeover. I wish somebody would do a dark dimension cyberman animation. They equaly rival the look of the new series cybermen.
