no, but a lot of slavic basses (and baritones) sing way in the back of their throats.

Why just Slavic basses? Are Slaves inferior singers?

I vastly prefer Ramey to the Slavic basses. they sound like trolls compared to him.

Oh, that beautiful man, that incredible voice. I saw him in the San Fran production of Mestopholes(sp) and floated for a few days afterward. Thank you so much for posting this.
