"Yearn" was initially designed as both a musical fable and an experimental narrative, where multiple short stories are connected by one protagonist - "The Boy From the Lake". The objective was to convey each tale with a minimal amount of dialog, allowing my core elements of imagery, original music, editing, and sound design to express ideas and draw the audience into a troubled world.

For the purposes of this reel, I have condensed over an hour of movie down to less than ten minutes, removing my original music and replacing it with songs from "Rocky IV" - which contains some of my all time favorite montages and soundtrack compositions.

These visuals display a cross-section of the stylistic groundwork that I would further explore in "Lily", as both movies contain individual scenes representing a wide range of aesthetically contrasting styles, juxtaposed for cumulative impact.
