Here are the products I discuss in my video:
Dreambaby retractable gate (unlike a pressure mounted gate, this will not put weight on the banister)

KidCo Stairway Gate Installation kit

  • Looking forward to the video about once you get all the baby proofing stuff installed. We will be doing that very soon as well. Colton is already into the dogs water and food dishes. If I have him on the floor in the kitchen with it it's the first thing he goes for LOL

  • @DawnMarie81 I will hopefully be doing it soon !!!

  • I'm going through the exact same thing currently. My little one just started crawling and pulling up on everything however she hasn't discovered the dog bowls YET. I have hardwood through out my house also and I hate when she falls on it. Do you have any tips for what you have done with your floor to make the impact easier.

  • @mikiecass Yeah we have hardwood floors too, but I am just sick of changing his clothes each time he deciedes to take a swim. Right now we have just moved his bowls to the bathroom and the baby never sees them there.

  • The couple I babysit for have a small dog and a to keep their baby out of the food and water they've put both dishes inside their pantry but put a doggy door on the pantry door so the dog is free to go in and out to eat/drink whenever, but the baby cant get in....I dont know if you have a pantry that you could do that with, but it would work even if you had a laundry room or a bathroom or anywhere like that

  • @LiveLoveLaughxx2010 That is a great idea. we will have to see if we can do something like that. Thank you so much for the tip !

  • ur welcome no problem

  • @Shannindhall Yaeh I totally agree... I think if the gate can "hide away" and not lay around, it's way better :)

  • @downundermumma Haha... umm... nope :) JK

  • Oh, the joys of baby proofing. With Lee we had a "banister shield" for our 2nd floor play room. Now for the top of the stair was a wood retractable (screw mounted) and swing open & closed. Very similar to what you described in your video. I am the same way, I do not want gates and such laying around & having to "recenter" it and mount it each time.
