About Noah's Pretzels
www.noahspretzels.com
Noah's Pretzels was founded by two fun-loving fathers, Dwayne Herndon and Jonathan Reed who saw an opportunity for the community to enjoy a traditional family treat while contributing to a good cause. A cause that is very close to Dwayne's family. Both founders came together in 2007 to create the Noah's Pretzel shop you visit today. Dwayne and Jonathan who each are local business owners in their communities, sought to contribute more and try to make a difference.
The original & traditional recipe in use today dates back to many-many pretzels ago. The name Noah's Pretzels comes from Dwayne's youngest son Noah who is autistic. Noah is the second youngest of six children and the support and love he receives from his siblings is nothing short of spectacular. Noah's sister, Alexa wrote an award winning essay sharing what it is like having an autistic family member and the joy that her brother brings to all.
Noah himself loves pretzels however there are many kids who are on special diets restricting them from enjoying some of our treats. We have now added a NEW Pretzel to Noah's menu which is Gluten and Casein Free (GF/CF), with this exciting news, all kids and adults can enjoy a visit to Noah's.
In keeping with our promise to the community, Noah's Pretzels will donate part of the profits to various Autism centers in and around the D.C. Metropolitan area.
While many companies are looking at the monetary bottom line Noah's Pretzels mission statement says it all:
"To provide a good old fashion pretzel in a fun environment while giving back to those in need."
We invite you to come visit us at our new location in Lake Forest Mall Sunday through Saturday (Opening Oct. 19 2007). While you're there please take the time to view and read our "Faces of Autism" wall full of interesting facts and the pictures of those kids who have visited us. Parents and friends of autistic children are welcome to bring in a 5x7 picture of child to be added to our wall. If you know of anyone who has been diagnosed with Autism please share this message with them.

What a great idea! So glad you are doing this. My son is not autistic, but has sensory issues and speech delays. I'm glad you made an oasis for parents who want to feel "normal".
I am gluten free, so is my son. I'd love to have a pretzel place that makes gluten-free pretzels. Open up in the Chicago suburbs?
