The NEC Group held the "C&C User Forum & iEXPO 2008" for three days from November 11th at the Tokyo International Forum (Yurakucho). The theme of the forum was "Creating a human-centric, earth-friendly information society."

During the forum, NEC presented a solutions package that can be used to easily organize and store paper documents and electronic documents with the same sensation as storing documents on an actual bookshelf.

This "UNIVERGE Visual Cabinet Solution" makes handling files on a network as easy has managing paper documents.

NEC began selling the UNIVERGE Visual Cabinet Solution this spring and intends to release a second version that is more user friendly by either the end of this fiscal year or sometime next fiscal year.

*Currently, UNIVERGE is only available in Japan.
