Doing a hot lap around Maple Valley's Full track.

The Delorean has been upgraded from a Performance Index of 177 (F class, comparable to the 1984 VW Rabbit GTI) to a Performance Index of 500 (A class, comparable to the Ferrari F430).

Upgrades include:
Slick tires, extra wide tires, front and rear downforce, 6 speed racing transmission, racing clutch, racing differential, ultra-light driveline, twin turbochargers, high end brakes, lower suspension, anti-roll bars, chassis reinforcement, weight removal, new air filters, fuel system, ignition, racing exhaust, camshaft, valves, a larger bore engine (2.8 liters to 3.2 liters), high end pistons with a high compression ratio, intercooler, and a midrange flywheel.

Has about 350 horsepower.

Playing with my Fanatec CSR racing wheel, with the shifter set and Elite pedals.

  • @djfuzzems Really? I've heard that the standard pedals are decent.

You really need to make a stand when using Fanatec stuff, though. I cannibalized a table, added extra support, and bolted my wheel onto it. I still need to make a mount for the pedals, because even on thick carpet, the pedals get pushed forward during a race.

  • My CSR gets here wensday, after buying it, do you have any doubts in your mind about its value? I bought the 300 bundle with the standard pedals with the shifter set.

  • @djfuzzems It's definitely worth the price. The CSR is usable with every console and the PC, so you don't need to buy separate wheels for each, which saves money. It's also pretty much the highest quality wheel out there.

The only problem with the CSR is that the firmware is currently broken for a lot of people, and will not save settings - mine is stuck at 270 degrees, atm.

They're working on a fix, but I don't know when it'll be available.

  • But what happened at 88 mph ?? :P

  • @djfuzzems Flux capacitor was removed. Unneeded weight.

  • @saber15 I returned mine, the stadard pedals where just awful, I tried to adjust them but no luck.

  • I bought mine with the standard csr pedals, and let me tell you, they suck really bad..... brake and clutch so stiff it moves the entire unit with you press them. I have attempted to adjust the springs but the directions are terrible and I almost broke the plastic parts....

  • Hahahahahaahah!
