As part of the 17th Australian National Studebaker Meet, a successful official world record attempt was raised to have the most number of World War Two Studebaker US6 trucks assembled in modern times. Seventeen US6's showed up, most of the footage here shows them going on a convoy run. The event was held on the 7th of April 2007 on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. A larger gathering of twenty US6's has been held, also in Australia, but this was not noted as an official record. (This footage taken by MJCQ member Bob).
The US sent over 200,000 to USSR as Lend Lease. In exchange, the Soviets spent the blood of over a million 2nd Lieutenants....

I am in the EXACT situation! I am going to obtain grandad's Studebaker which has been on the farm in the open for over 40 years, and want to get it going. Im in Australia too. No trayback as he sold it late 1940's and put a fertislisr spreader on the back of it for farming. Need more INFORMATION, same as KOOKABURRA1111.
My serial number on the motor reads:
DK 1564472 26

Awesome. The jeep in the bed was a nice touch. Jeez, I get a weird feeling when I see these old trucks in a convoy. I dont like the ones that are painted yellow, or bright colors, with civilian modifications

Wow. I can't imagine what it would've been like to see hundreds of those come rolling through a village in Europe during the war.

My Grandpar has old Studebaker like those in your video, it has been in a shed for 40 years, would love to find someone to help me restore it. He served in Borneo in WW2 building airstrips. He put powerpoles up by himself with it!
I live in Australia and would love to see my Grandpa's truck restored in memory of all he brought to this family and our country. Trayback - Green!
Kind regards
Craig
