This Is the biggest thing since man first walked on the moon, and science is obliged to do it, Six experiments are taking place and to be quite honest, I dont think anyone would even notice If it wasnt for talk of black holes and videos like this. it gives the whole thing a sense of adventure that helps people sit up and take notice, and thats reason enough to show it, but judging from a lot of the comments, not all are amused. There are people out there actually taking this serious. how people are so gullible and naïve is beyond me, its another mystery that must be looked into. its no wonder religion can flourish like it does, one born every minuet I heard said, more like a hundred born every second.
Information is power, and the information learned from these experiments will open up a new world. Man has gone to far into technology to turn back now, Columbus wouldnt turn back. And when Spanish Conquistador Hernando Cortez landed in Mexico, one of his first orders to his men was to burn the ships, so they wouldn't turn back.
Anyway all they're doing is six little experiments, so be happy that you're a part of it, and dont be a bunch of sissies. Also some good comments out there from people with their heads screwed on. Then there are those who want petty details and facts, why from me I dont know, especially as they have a computer of their own right in front of them, not forgetting this whole video is a lie anyway. Bilbo Baggins , thought facts and such like. killed a good story, but heres the facts anyway

The six experiments at the LHC are all run by international collaborations, bringing together scientists from institutes all over the world. Each experiment is distinct, characterised by its unique particle detector.
The two large experiments, ATLAS and CMS, are based on general-purpose detectors to analyse the myriad of particles produced by the collisions in the accelerator. They are designed to investigate the largest range of physics possible. Having two independently designed detectors is vital for cross-confirmation of any new discoveries made.
Two medium-size experiments, ALICE and LHCb, have specialised detectors for analysing the LHC collisions in relation to specific phenomena.
Two experiments, TOTEM and LHCf, are much smaller in size. They are designed to focus on forward particles (protons or heavy ions). These are particles that just brush past each other as the beams collide, rather than meeting head-on
The ATLAS, CMS, ALICE and LHCb detectors are installed in four huge underground caverns located around the ring of the LHC. The detectors used by the TOTEM experiment are positioned near the CMS detector, whereas those used by LHCf are near the ATLAS detector. If you want to read more follow this link.

  • Why don't these paranoid doomsayers go somewhere with nice people in white coats and rubber rooms?

  • @menthol5 Its not about been paranoid, its just a bit of fun, aimed at the people who are against the experiment. I can’t believe I have to explain this! I bet a milliard to one that you must be a yank.

  • that black hole its far to big also it would decay in milliseconds~

  • Thats theatrics for you, always trying to impress an audience

  • I am working at the LHC. I'm a particle physicist and I would like to clear up some of the rumors and comments on this video. Firstly, our experiments will have enough energy to create very small scale black holes; this is what everyone is afraid of. This video shows a black hole forming at the collider and imploding the earth.

  • Just hurry up and do it, I want to see the results, I'm a 100% for these experiments you have my full backing.

and remember if you knew what was going to happen, there would be no need for the experiment.

  • I'll have some applesauce, if you've got it.

Truly, the only benefit to CERN making a black hole and killing us all is the void won't have to listen to evangelical christians broadcast their fear of science into the unknown.

  • The general public does not understand time decay and energy uncertainties. If Cern came out and blatantly said we will be creating black holes then there would be more of a panic instead of understanding. The have, however, said that they will be working with energies that are higher than some black holes. This is like an indirect way of saying we will be creating black holes that exist for such a short time that the universe won't know they existed

  • @duchesseagle404 it actually called the higgs or something particle it just an theory they believed in it so much because it made more sense so if they were wrong they would accept it and move on. and how are we suppose to know if ur being sarcastic this is all in text

  • @knightofjustic by the way i was being sarcastic because the day they that they discover this god particle IT WILL BE THE DAY THAT THEY KNOW THAT GOD IS ALWAYS THERE. dont you get it they believe in this particle even tho they dont see it or feel it but they have faith that it does exist........incredible scientist that have faith in something that they have not touched or seen.........

  • @LISTEN222ME stalin predicted that enemy country would invade russia within 10 years 10 years later germany invaded did stalin predict the future ?no he just said something and got it right by accident.

  • @duchesseagle404 dont worry about all of our money the particle has been found

  • @Xi2edXi2ulvlXgl0 Even if the Earth was consumed by a black hole satellites wouldn't be touched. They would keep on orbiting an Earth massed black hole.

  • @Xi2edXi2ulvlXgl0 thats the inaccuracy you noticed from this? Really?

  • If I were to die right now, this is how I would want it to happen.

  • this is what happens when you divide by zero
