This statement could have been said in humility as well. Tafseer E Khazin states under this verse, "The Holy Prophet (PBUH) negated those things from his blessed self in modesty for Allah (I.W.J) and to affirm him being a servant in His court. In other words, "I neither say any of these things nor do I lay claim to anything".
So brother, there are more and more from other commentators, Hope it helped you understand.
The verse can also mean a negation of absolute knowledge. Imam Fakhruddin Raazi (R.A) writes in the commentary of this ayat, "I don't know the unseen is acknowledgement by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) proving that He (PBUH) doesn't have absolute information entirely".
Qaadhi Bidawi (R.A) writes, "It means, I don't know the unseen until revelation (wahi) about it is made to me or a proof on it is established".
"It is also a possiblity in this versefor 'Laa Aalam' to be coupled with 'Laa Aqoulu', meaning, 'O My Beloved (PBUH), say, "I don't know the unseen." This will prove that Ghaib Bil-Istiqlaal, meaning original (zaati) knowledge of the unseen, is known by none except Allah (S.W).
The commentators have given four interpretations to this verse:
1. This verse negates original (zaati) Knowledge of the unseen.
2. It nullifies absolute knowledge.
3. It was said out of humbleness and humility.
4. The meaning of the ayat is, "I don't claim that I know the unseen." In others, only to claim possessing knowledge of the unseen is what is negated, not actually having it. Now understand this verse in the light of its explanation (tafseer).
[6:50] Say, "I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of GOD. Nor do I know the future. Nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I simply follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind the same as the seer? Do you not reflect?"
[7:188] Say, "I have no power to benefit myself, or harm myself. Only what GOD wills happens to me. If I knew the future, I would have increased my wealth, and no harm would have afflicted me. I am no more than a warner, and a bearer of good news for those who believe."
The Holy Quran doesn't mentions about a computer or any electronic device, doesn't mean, it is Haraam to use a computer or any other electronic device.
Dajjal (the Antichrist) will have the powers of rising the dead. Now may I ask you, how come Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.T.A.A) doesn't possess those powers even which Dajjal, the Lier, possesses?
Brother, Some people shows the powers and some people hides. Hazrat Abu Bakar (R.T.A.A) didn't show, doesn't mean, he hadn't the powers.
