A grand version indeed ! It's an ancient tune composed by a musician named McNamara from County Mayo. It was said to have been taken up by the Fiddle players of West Clare, when they heard the souls of The Wild Geese (exiled leaders) singing it on a ghost ship returning their spirits to Ireland (1600's).
I used often play this with my old friend piper Ronan Browne. You do a lovely, sensitive version - Thank You.

very nice guitar effects. Have you ever tried playing this with no capo at all?

i've used my guitar into a line 6 multi effects (delay and chorus) but i kept the volume very low, so the main sound comes from the guitar. i've used the capo at 2nd fret because i think otherwise the general mood becomes too 'dark'
