Inspired by reading Garrison Keillors books about the stubborn Norwegians up in Minnesota.

  • That's some great picking but it doesn't sound like Lake Wobegone to me???

  • Well, it is. I wrote this tune "Lake Wobegon" around 1986 after reading the books by Garrison Keillor. Later Chet Atkins wrote a tune called "Wobegon (The way It Used To Be)". You might confuse it with that. Thanks for the credit.

  • My apologies! I mistook it for the one that Chet did. I am red-faced Sir...Forgive me, I did not intend to demean your tune.

  • Forget it. I was not at all offended by this

little mistake. Have a Merry Christmas.

  • This playing is superb! It inspires me on to greater playing!

What is the alternate tuning you are using?

  • Man o Man, you're better than any other guitarist I've heard. Chet, (and I used to think Chet was God), Merle, Jerry, Buster, Carl...Los Indios Tabajaras. You name them, I've listened to their music. And loved every one, but you are tops in my book. Thanks, I really enjoy your playing.

  • Fantastic at least! Jim
