I'm a big Montana fan and all these years I've always wondered who's the face behind the soothing voice of my most number one Christmas song of all time on the Salsoul Christmas album version. I played this 5 times last Saturday at gig I DJ'd at in Toronto's Royal York hotel with over 500 guests.
Pretty amazing to see this rare video. Thanks for sharing.

It was on an at least DJ-issue Salsoul 45 No. 2052 for the 1977 season, and may have been issued commercially that early too. On the other side was the Orchestra's "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." This side, with Denise's vocal however, was ALWAYS the real keeper, and I've never made a seasonal mix cassette without it. An instant classic. Like the perennials from Nat King Cole, Brenda Lee, Darlene Love and Bobby Helms, "Merry Christmas All" singlehandedly ensures Denise's musical immortality.

This always brings back memories of Christmas at home in Philly. It played on the R&B stations under SalSoul Orchestra, so we assumed it was a Black singer. Goes to show you shouldn't assume anything.

I love this song!! I do believe this was released on an LP called "A Salsoul Christmas", Denise is having a ball singing this, and she, Vince, and the family are loved out here on the West Coast. I've been looking for this song forever. It pops up on all the radio stations both Jazz and R&B during the season!
