  • @nikittoo1 I mean you could wear it for something else if you want but noone does, it wouldn't look good walking into a house on a medical call w ur contaminated bunker pants.

  • @nikittoo1 i dont know why but in my city they can be worn to anything

  • @2matohead The only time you see guys wearing Bunker pants if there is a fire or an extrication.

  • @squrt92bat12...w/ regards to Trauma / Medical Green, Yellow, Red. I believe it all depends where you work, or the state you live in. In Colorado, for instance, Trauma / Medical patients are classified as either a green, yellow, or red. Just b/c Fla may classify w/ one terminology does not mean it happens everywhere.

  • magician is really mistaken trauma green red and yellow are for MCI calls trauma alert have to meet Trauma Alert criteria ive worked in northn florida and lived in parts outside of dade county and there all the same we only use the color system in an event of a MCI and as for the other person who said why we transport by air when theres alot of hospital well if your a trauma alert you go to a trauma facility a level 1 trauma facility and trust me miami has traffic at all times of the day &night

  • I'm suprised the paramedics let you get that close.

  • If the transport to Ryder is going to be more than 15mins by ground, whether because of distance or traffic or anything, MDFR Air Rescue is dispatched to transport.

  • That's not true at all. Your source is highly inaccurate, Ryder Trauma Center at JMH is a Level 1 trauma center, so is Memorial Regional Hospital, and Broward General. I am a FL EMT in PMD school and have been around fire/ems my entire life and have NEVER heard of your "trauma green, yellow and red", you might be taking about the triage colors for an MCI, but not about trauma center classification.

  • i just appleyed for cadet there im also a jr for another dept i probably would have alteast had my bunker pants on....
