The Leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP), Jack Layton, visited Yellowknife on April 28, 2011 for a Meet and Greet breakfast Rally that was hosted by the Western Arctic NDP candidate Dennis Bevington who is seeking re-election.

The event was held at the cozy NDP campaign headquarters in downtown Yellowknife to an overflowing audience of supporters, media and those simply interested in seeing Mr. Layton in-person.
