"I am not saying I have the objective truth"

you dont say it but most atheists , well most people actually, act this way.

"Basing an opinion on the bible is acceptable in a church. In a legislative body, it is unacceptable."

so every time we approve a law that favorites conservative population it should be dismissed because it has something to do with the bible? What am i supposed to become an atheist or agnostic when i vote?

do you even know what separation of church and state means? it means that church cannot directly make laws as it pleases, and it does not , but church as any other organization must say its the opinion just like ever other organization does. Or are you saying that church just needs to be quiet when laws are made?

people who call for separation of church and state today are diminishing the churches right on free speech because they think they can do that since they KNOW THE TRUTH.

Separation of Church and State is the idea that Law shall not be tied together with any religious institution. Religiously motivated laws will not be passed at the expense of tax dollars and they shall not be upheld at the expense of tax dollars.

Separation of church and state DOES NOT diminish any free speech rights but rather diminishes its influence in areas where it does not belong such as legal procedures. Church can make a fuss but it cannot pass laws it wants THAT IS SEPARATION.

Conservative doesn't mean religious, please don't demean every conservative by assuming they are theists.
Conservatives want no gun control, I side with them 100% on that one because it is a law that is unconstitutional.
You can be a theist when you vote, don't threaten holy vengeance when you lose and don't whine when others call you out on your bigotry. A lot of religious are in favor of "liberal" values as well. They vote as theists but manage to be rational beings not some religious sheep.

then why dont they fight for civil unions in all states instead of marriage?

I dont live in america and in my country civil unions have equal legal rights as married couples.

In netherlands they got permits to get married and gues what , most of them does not even do that, its not about marriage its about beeing recognized.

Well there you go you don't live here and have no clue of how civil unions work. Here they are not recognized by all states and even those recognized in some states are not recognized in others. Gays are fighting for the right to have a "civil union" recognized in all 50 states. As of yet Marriage is the only such act.

Observation well made when you state how religious clergy feign humility. No amount of sincere humility is sufficient to offset their beliefs that they are in the right and their beliefs are absolute, ensuring they are superior to non-believers and believing non-clergy alike.

Really? Atheists are more militant? Do you know of the existence of Wahhabi Saudi Arabia. Would you even dare to compare the overtly hostile attitude of a Muslim suicide bomber to an Atheist on YouTube who disagrees with your petty little god and your religion? The worst atheists have done is speak out against a theistic world view, allowing people debating religion an insight into what atheism is.
Awfully closed minded of you to not only equate but say that one is worse.
