  • I recommend you learn more about her. I think it's possible to admire her work even if one doesn't share her theology or religious motivations.

  • What do you mean? Could you please write in plain English! and no sarcasm or irony please!!! dont get your third parag! who are you laying the blame on? Who are Abu Ghraib-ers by your definition?

  • Good point. And I dont get how their logic works. She says" I thought I would be safe Because I am American And a nun!!" to go into a war zone with crazy men with extremely high testosterone levels is not safe for anybody!! so you have to to some level blame yourself! Yes, kids need help. But to jump in to ice cold water to help others without knowing how to swim is plain stupidness! you should look for a way to help them the way you are capable of, not to become another one in need of help!

  • I heard about Sister Ortiz at Church today so I decided to do some reading online.

How can she compare what happened to her to Abu Ghraib? Short of having gouged eyes or limbs amputated, she had the worst.

But...The Abu Ghraib-ers are amputators and decapitators that were sophomorically humiliated by guards that were harassed in very nasty ways by the jihadists.

Sister Ortiz is suffering much from her horrible experience and needs our prays. But there is a disconnect.

  • Although I am sorry she was raped. I do not support her for attempting missionary work.

"A good and healthy education" (in Jesus's love)?
