As for some that talk about not ever knowing their fathers, I am truly sorry.. I can not imagine never being in my girl's life, I don't know what man could ever not be with their kids. But, I never knew my Mother so I feel your pain and confusion. Kinda like a whole part of you is missing..

My 17yr old became a daddy to a little girl on August 22, 2011. Because of decisions he had made, he missed the last 3 months of the pregnancy, including the birth of this beautiful little girl. I sent him a picture of his daughter with the lyrics of this song in poem/poster form. He looks at it and her every day. He gets out November 19th and will be seeing his daughter for the first time!! Thank you for sharing this with all of us. As a "little girl" our daddies mean the world to us!

I'm turning 15 in October, He's missed out the past 12 years of my life.

He chose alcohol over me and my mom..
