The costs of this type of event is between £30 and £70 depending on location & the inclusion of a supper. Dances are learnt in workshops and dance groups across the country. Steps are often called at public balls by a caller who will go through steps and then call them when the music starts. There is very little available in terms of literature that can be easily interpreted by a beginner.

The best thing 2 do is start country dancing & then try to get to an event such as the Jane Austen Festival, Bath. It runs for a week in September every year. 2009 festival starts on 17th Sept. Thanx for commenting. LadyF
