This is a real step backwards for ID. There's no rendered projectiles or ejected bullet casings, the enemies don't seem to react to hit locations and you can't even tell where they are hit because there's no bullet holes or blood whatsoever. The only things that are impressive are the physics, graphics, and animations. Even the enemy A.I. seems to be poorly done.

if you say that in quake there are not zombies you missed the first and probably the best chapter in quake history :)
