Logo animation using Maya, mental ray, and After Effects.
The Sprock!
I created two sprockets (the gear-looking objects) using Maya and used a non-linear deformer to create the blended shape. I animated the rotation of the objects and some of the attributes on the deformer. After about 30 minutes of rendering, I took the sequence into After Effects, and added some "bling" to it, including the logo, some particles and the background.
