@Abercrombieand1Bitch Listen to Offspring's first, self-titled album man, you can hear similarities. Albeit Offspring sounded pretty raw back then, but you can also hear similarities on there second album, Ignition. It's really interesting, I can't exactly put together a time-line of when each band was releasing similar sounding stuff, but that would be interesting.

@Abercrombieand1Bitch not saying they ripped off their songs but I think AFI influenced the offspring's sound around this time, like they covered total immortal and then with conspiracy of one the guitar started sounding like AFI's. I'm a fan of both too.
