Just on Day (Part 1)
On 2008-01-26 I started out on the Blue Ridge Parkway shooting sunrise shots. About 8:30am I left there and Drove to Roan Mountain, TN base is about 5500 feet up. Hiked to a nearby 6222 foot Peak (about 4-5 miles). Snapping photos with my Canon SD900, and Canon 40D. In all I took 1839 photo's and several short videos. Part one and two of this used about 1/2 of them! LOL yes I still have about 900 I didn't use!
After I left Roan Mountain I was driving home around sunset and stopped back at Thunder Hill on the Blue Ridge and shot sunset shots (a first for me on the Blue Ridge) those can be seen in Part 2 of this video! I think they are amazing!

Certainly explains why they named them the Blue Ridge Mountains! About every possible shade of blue, in fact.

Yeah the more I photograph espeshilly on a marathon 14 hour shoot day like this was the more I am struck by how many natural blues there are around me. But it makes me happy because it's my favorite color! (among others in the rainbow LOL)
