ATTENTION ! HD ANALOG DIRECT UPLOAD VERSION http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDgd7YCmmEo I only have eyes for you - The Flamingos (1959) BEST SOUND IN 480p. The song was written by Harry Warren in 1934, lyrics by Al Dubin, for the movie Dames starring Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler, and later featured in the movie A Bronx Tale. FOR MORE INFO ON THIS SONG CLICK HERE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Only_Have_Eyes_for_You Played on a Bang & Olufsen Beogram turntable model RX 2. Playing through a Pioneer SX 1080 Receiver bi-amped using Magneplanar Magnepan speakers with a powerd 12" sub-woofer. B&O is about as sleek and modern in appearance as you can get with their high end ultra modern styled stereo gear, and I found this in a thrift store of all places. These turntables were quite pricey when new, and command a high price used today. The stylus and cartridge are in excellent condition.. It is very elegantly styled with as few knobs etc., as possible to not detract from its sleek clean design. The tonearm does not even have a tonearm rest, it just sits suspended in air. It determines the speed and record size by the spindle. When starting to play you will notice the record rise about 1/4 of an inch off the turntable. If it was a 12" 33RPM record the weight would keep the spindle down and it would change speed to 33 and index for a 12" record. The speed and index sizing can be overridden for odd records like 7" 33 or 12" 45 RPM. The Bang & Olufsen MMC cartridge is a sterling example of Bang & Olufsen's pursuit and execution of superior design and engineering. This turntable has the MMC5. "MMC" stands for Moving Micro-Cross, a design principle that integrated all of the cartridge components - coils, magnet, cantilever, and stylus and which became the patented moving-iron principle upon which all B&O cartridges were based. The MMC moving-iron cartridge is designed to produce the finest groove separation and accurate reproduction of music. For everyday use I still prefer a standard turntable. I like to use a discwasher brush to clean the record on the turntable, and you cannot do that on this turntable due to the suspension being built in the turntable instead of in the deck as most standard turntables. Recommended on line radio station for classic American music from 1920's to 1980'shttp://www.krli.net/
oddly enough, this song doesn't make me think of romance at all. I first heard this song on Buffy the Vampire Slayer where a ghost was entering bodies and reliving the shooting of his lover/teacher. This song makes me think of ghosts.

Interesting how songs effect people differently, this song reminds me of summer days when I was a kid vacationing at my uncle's. There was a restaurant & soda fountain way down the street that had a speaker outside on the patio connected to the jukebox. I enjoyed listening to it while lounging in the yard. They would play this song quite often, which I enjoyed, but it irritated my uncle having the speaker outside & teenagers playing rock n roll all day, fond memories of a bygone era.
