3/7/05 - Tory Christman gives an insider's look at Scientology to a sold out house at the Steve Allen Theater in Los Angeles, the home of the Center for Inquiry West, a skeptic's organization. This was the first time Tory shared her 30 years of experience in Scientology with a large audience and they were very receptive. She talks about her history with the group as well as detailing Scientology's fraud and abuse.

"defendsscientology"...After reading your profile, you do a very lousy job at defending anything. All you do is attack Anonymous, calling them anti-American, anti-Semitic and even racist. I just love her spirit! I can so relate to her, however my exprience was not with this particular organization. Despite the difference in the organization, the mind control tactics and experiences where the same. I am so happy to be free.  The answers are from within, not out there. Tory, you are an excellent speaker and very compelling person. Its quite a pleasure to listen to you speak in general and about your rather bizarre and rare experience in the cult of scientology. I think it is quite an amazing thing to find both someone with an amazing story and at the same time someone who is so very engaging and apt at telling it. Did you ever think (before wanting to leave the cult of Scientology) that what you were doing to your new 'recruits' and other cult members was wrong? (so far as treatment and keeping the members ignorant, etc.)
