Man, what a beautiful movie. How did this pass under the public radar? I think this should have been at least nominated for an Oscar when it came out. It's definitely one of the better films I've seen in the past few years.

What a beautiful and thoroughly underated movie.

I found this last scene so hard to watch and had to pause it for a while as I started to hyper ventilate. I'm sure it was the same for so many other viewers. I wept but could'nt keep from watching it. Colin Firth was excellent - at portraying surely one of the toughest of topics.

by far the very best colin firth movie ever. i had never even heard of this movie till i became a fan after bridgett jones on netflix then the kings speech. this movie will make (some of us older people) THINK... A+++ would like to see more like this from him.

Oh God the part that really got to me was the one where he's heading off and then his dad comes to him and hugs him. His dad tears up and you can see the look on young Blake's face as if getting the best gift in the world. Then they show man (and by far the most GORGEOUS man ever) Blake getting so emotional. I seriously broke down in sorrow.

I haven't lost my father and I'm grateful to God, and I know and speak for myself and all those that have their fathers, we need to show our love for them

@cheesein its because it was an english film. so the only award it would have been eligable for would have been best foreign film. but i agree a phenomenal ending

such a fantastic movie thankyou so much for uploading! this last seen made me cry! i got up from my desk went into my parents room and just huged my daddy and mommy! and at 20 years old i laid in bed with my parents.. this movie really does make you think abut life! fantastic!!!
