This story is about the death of Anne Shirley's parents and the resulting struggles of Anne's pre-Gables youth. The book shows how deeply in love Bertha and Walter Shirley were. The book also tells details about the fever that killed Anne's parents. The book tells in detail the emotions Anne feels, the people in her life, and the way she connects with other people till she is on the train to Green Gables. And tells of her stay with the Thomases, who prove to be bizarrely bitter.

Based on the novel by Budge Wilson, which is a prequel to Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables.

Published in the US/Canada in 2008 and translated/published in Japan that year, ↗Before Green Gables is a prequel to classic tale Anne of the Green Gables (which inspired a 1979 Japanese anime series).

Animation by Nippon Animation.
New series to aire in April '09.

That is one good thing about them. I'm not sure who it's by, but the anime Candy,

Candy was the same way, I was like come the hell on at a few of the plot twists, but

I couldn't quit watching. Candy is one of my favorite fictional characters

Finnaly somthing normal, ive been looking at 09 anime previews all week & Besides K-ON, & The Conan VS LUPIN III OVA this looks like the only thing worth watching. I mean seriously WTH Japan, why are 4 out of every 5 of your new anime series fanservice, I watch cartoons/Animes for Story, Comedy & Violence, If i wanted innuendo I'd be watching somthing else, now keep your playboy out of my Anime!
