Poem- The Storm

This is another poem I just wrote...

The Storm

I guess I should have opened my eyes...
And noticed the dark clouds in the skies.
I should have seen there was a storm near...
But I just had no fear.
I thought it was always a sunny day,
That these clouds would just go away.
But the rain is poring,
And now the thunder is roaring.
These grey skies
Are just so full of lies.
The rain is falling like my tears.
Now I realize I have all of these fears.
I feel like my heart has been struck by lightning.
And the feeling is so frightening.
But you know this storm will pass...
But this time I do not know if we will last.
I am sure that you know
How scared I am of letting go...
You know how much I have cried...
But finally every tear has dried.
All of these storms I get so sick of...
So I look up above...
And Look!!
.........
Theres a rainbow!
The storm has passed, and now it is time for you to go.
