And they made us wait through a delay 2. It was so cold

This was still my favorite race that I ever ran. It was an experience like no other. Like eveyone else that has posted knows, it was made special by those runners and volenteers that did show up. There was a LOT of comraderie that day.

Thanks for this post - what a crazy race day! My sis and I ran this; what an experience. It does show how it was. We tried to tell the family but words didn't do it; now we can show them!

Wow - I can't believe that my 14 old son and myself actually participating in this as our first race together. This running community is really crazy and I like it.

Thanks for posting! I agree that words didn't accurately capture what went on out there, but this video did!

Wow,
Thank you so much for putting that clip out there. This WILL NOT be a race soon forgotten, by the runners or volunteers.
So many thank you's must go out. Every year we do try to thank everyone, but this year is just a touch different because of the one special bandit in the race - Ike!
So to all our volunteers (incredibly dedicated), participants (crazy), and spectators (please see your psychologist soon), THANK YOU!!!
From your Race Directors, David, Debby, Kristen & Jeff

I ran it with 50 other runners from KC. Quite a unique experience. They called it at mile 10.
Thanks for shooting the video to capture what it was like!
Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers for all their work.

I love it. I just showed it to my husband who was NOT there yesterday morning and I just could not do it justice with words! :) Thanks for posting this.
That was quite the experience, wasn't it?

The big thing that made it worth while were our fellow runners, volunteers and well wishers who got in there with us sharing the misery and fun times.
