I finally figured out why the CGI in this movie isn't as realistic as it's supposed to be. Real people and things have unique little marks. Notches, grooves, healed over scars, etc. The na'vi don't have any of that, their faces are too "perfect" and smooth. They don't have the same distinguishing characteristics of real people.
