An amplified blast of ac/dc on my gretsch that will soon be up for sale on ebay (deepay1) No backing track so the sound can be heard. Played at low volume on a Line 6 Spider amp

  • Cool when you play lead stuff on that guitar, hehe... Me myself have 13-60 strings on mine, so only rhythm for me ; ) Anyways, what's that bridge? Not original on those Mal Youngs...

  • @KjellGibson .013's sound increidble, but I end up with fingers that look like I've been strumming a cheese grater if I try lead :s The bridge is a badass wraparound unit that was supplied with this model from new. I know Malcolm has gone back to the tail-piece unit now, wouldn't mind trying his for a comparison

  • @KjellGibson Hey, is there a big difference between 9's for example and 13's in sound and other things? And where can u buy 13's? :D I've searched on some German store's, but can't find 13's? I looked for Gibson's... U play with Gibson's? Grtz, J-L

  • @guitaristacdczztop Ernie ball sell some very heavy strings and ebay is as good as any to grab a set. The 9's give a lot more clarity beyond the 12th fret, but lack depth as you go down to the nut end. Bending is obviusly a sream with 9's and the frets on this guitar are fantastic for gripping the string and bending as far as you like. The 13's are breathtaking at thunderous power chords and great for tuning stability. I hope that helps

  • @guitaristacdczztop La Bella DT13 gives a stiff acoustic Malcolm feeling!

  • has this already been sold?

  • @KjellGibson Hi there. 13-60 strings must sound thunderous on your guitar. I only ever got up to 11-50 and that was loud enough to wake the dead :) The bridge on mine was the original supplied. It's a badass wraparound unit. I know Malcolm has gone back to a 60's style tailpiece now, but I love the tuning stability you get with this one

  • LOL , Thunderstruck on Gretsch !!!:)
