I personally think Broad's spell of bowling was the key. If he could bowl intelligently more often rather than using his supervariationing which doesn't always work he'd be a FANTASTIC bowler for the next decade.

Yes. A combination of bowling the aussies out extremely cheaply on an excellent batting wicket, and strauss and trott's partnership on the morning of day 3 were the most important factors for me. if that partnership had been broken early, we may have only ended up with a lead of about 300. but they made a cushion for everyone to come in and bat freely, posting a lead of 500+.
