NQ Gathering Date and Venue!

Here it is! The Date and Venue for North Queensland's FIRST Videomaker's Gathering!

Weekend of the 18th of April 2009, Townsville.
Riverway, Riverway Drive, Pioneer Park!
Parks, Pools, Picnic Areas, shadey trees, nature walks, art gallery, entertainment centre, and a just plain beautiful place!

The Meet time and date is for all ages although of course minors should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Further timings and events will be announced for those adult attendees for Saturday Night.

Riverway has a range of facilities from Pools and Bar to gas picnic areas and eco-tourist sites. It is also within walking distance of Takeaway Food sites like Maccas and Hungry Jacks as well as Restaurants, Coffee shops, Bistros and Pub in nearby Cannon Park.

Ample parking is available in Riverway, Cannon Park, Sunland Shopping Centre and also The WIllows all within a few hundred metres of the venue.

I'm wondering how long it will take to drive up from Sydney. Let me look at the map....Oh crap, it's near Carins. I thought Townsville was near the border of NSW. It must be dam hot up there.
