V-Star 950 Engine noise....

Yamaha V-Star 950 engine sound. Might hear some ticking. Not the greatest quality.

you should.you won't eliminate th noise. but the noise will be greatly reduced.

I have an '07 V-Star 1300T and it made engine noise until I came across a forum that said there is a new style clutch that yamaha came out with that you can only get if you ask for it. I would recommend calling yamaha and talk to customer relations. If there is a fix then they will do all the foot work for you and even set your appointment with the dealership of your choice. All the dealers I took it to just stood around with their thumb in their asses, but a 10 minute phone call resolved it!!

I have the same problem i changed the oil and it still made that noise should i put 20w 50

No need todo all that now  , i bought a brand new XV 1900A Midnight Star and it is just mind blowing

Just bore out the baffle with a 1.5 in hole saw and the bike sounds awesome. There is a youtube clip on how to do.

hey i had this problem with my 950a i thought it was out of oil but wasnt so took it to the dealer and they changed the oil and used amsoil oil becuz its a bit thicker than regualer oil and it quit

yep well the dual drag pipes from drag specialities there awesome i seen a lot of change in take of bottom end most take mostly take off it would smoke the tire at take of now it boils em looking for a video but im prolly going to put one on here sometime
