too slow there is a tempo for a reason.

Not the speed I'm used to hearing it at, but it was still good. I sang this with my high school chorus and we sang this piece in King Concert Hall (that just gave away where I'm from...) in 2008. We didn't have someone sing the "shout" in the soprano part, but we did have someone go to the E above the staff...the chord at the end was like "whoa!"

Its called staccato. Thats what is missing, but I agree it sounds great with the reverb and thats probably why its not as bold. Still impressive. I sang this with Moses Hogan the Feb. after 9/11 in Carnagie Hall. They did great!

get a grip! everyone is a critic...you want to be in music, get used to it. besides, i was defending you and so was "euphoniac"!!! (that is hilarious--i totally know that dude) and jmonks wasn't being rude, either. seriously, get used to criticism. you're going to get it often, and usually it isn't going to be as nice or supportive as brad and i. i know damn well y'all spent all year on this concert, it ought to be better, but it is decent. acceptable. not offensive. lol!

Brad??? lol!

What a performance. This tempo was perfect for the space. Immature musical ears tend to be impressed by sheer volume and speed, but don't consider the space as part of the "instrument" that is the choir.
I remember singing in Dornoch Cathedral with the Chamber singers back in 1999. Its an awesome space for making music!

I sang this with this group--we went a lot faster, but you have to remember that this is in a huge church with a lot of reverb...in concert it has to go a lot slower. It's hard to have soul when there is that much echo!!!

How incredible..but I agree with the other person about having a little more soul and speed.
-
incredibly slow. put a little more soul into it..
Something I've never understood about YouTube is why people think they need to be critics anytime music is posted.
