Wireless cycle computer being used on a Dahon folding bicycle. I use a Cateye Strada wireless cycling computer on my Mu EX without any problems. As long as the computer has a fairly clear line-of-sight to the sensor on the fork, there shouldn't be any issues.

  • I have a dahon MU-P8 folding bike and am struggling to find a cycle computer to fit on it, as the distance between the computer and the sensor exceeds the recommended 50cm. Can you help me? Thanks

  • @thetifosi, you might want to take a look at the Cat Eye Strada that I use. My bike has a similar geometry as the Mu P8 so it should work for your bike as well. Just make sure that the sensor and computer are have as clear line of sight to one another as much as possible.

  • why are you wearing a mask?

  • @Breezemann, I commute to and from work and have to go on some pretty busy streets at times. The mask does wonders in filtering out exhaust fumes. I can literally stop behind a bus spewing out black fumes and not smell a thing!

  • As far as you know, does the screen have to be directly over the sensor? I plan to use it on a recumbent trike where it won't be able to be directly over. Wondering if I should buy the Strada. Thanks for the video by the way. Looks good!

  • @kmxtornado, I wouldn't foresee any problems of using a wireless cycle computer on a recumbent. I don't think it would have to be directly "over" the sensor, just as long as it's within the recommended distance from the sensor (and there isn't a sheet of lead in between).
