The Jetbook is identical to the Aluratek Libre Pro in hardware and the menus are almost identical, with a few differences: The Jetbook uses up to a 2 Gb SD card, the Libre can use up to a 32 GB card; The Jetbook can be used in several languages and a built in dictionary; the Libre has fewer and no dictionary; The Jetbook uses DRM books from Barnes & Noble, whereas the Libre uses DRM books from Kobo/Sony. Finally, the Libre is considerably cheaper in price.

This is a company with an okay product but they have terrible customer service and a practically nonexistent return policy. If you exchange your product for another one, no matter what happens, you are unable to return it anymore. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had - I guess that's how they shave off 10-20 bucks. Just google ectaco reviews and go to epinions.

can you download kindle books on to it? and read them?

Is it back lit or reflective? I thought of getting one of them because a lot of people praised them, bu back lit screens tire me when I read.

I payed $90 at newegg. with discount code. It's very nice device. support many languages. I download Arabic and French books. love it.
I wish it came with rechargeable lithium ion battery.

Just like reading an e-book! No eye strain whatsoever.
Not so good for PDF files-this is only a 5 inch screen.
