Just to triple check and make sure it is not the gear hitting the switch on my Marx 1666 I rechecked the clearances.

  • I'm no expert but what I saw was the flange hitting or jumping as it meet the frog material between the two tracks. You might try to grind down that spot for a smoother ride.

  • It is the flange. I did this test cause friends were claiming it was the gear, which you see clears fine. There is no grinding that would be worth the effort. I have a temporart loop of old K-Line tubeular track on foam for a temp. layout when I feel like playing with this set. Thank you for watching & commenting though.
