Sobradinho by Dilermando Reis

A little bird told me that today is Sabine's birthday and so I thought, I must upload something jolly to celebrate the occasion. Of course, life is never simple and when I set up my laptop this morning to start recording there was a glitch.... :-( But, my trusty friend Josie came to rescue by lending me a computer, and finally, I managed to record this video :-) Thanks Josie! And thanks for letting me use your pics too!

Sobradinho is another great Dilermando Reis transcription by Ivan Paschoito. It's published in Volume 2 of The Great Guitarists of Brazil, Dilermando Reis, transcribed, arranged and edited from his (Dilermando's) recording by Ivan Paschoito. Guitar Solo Publications of San Francisco.

Ivan's notes say, "Sobradinho is the only maxixe in this collection. The first section recalls the well-known Sons de Carrilhoes by Joao Pernambuco and must be played with the same feeling. The title may refer to a Brazilian city."
