Ants, relatively speaking, are just as advanced as us - they build cities (anthills), have an enforced class structure, and demonstrate all of the same skills as we do. So does nearly every other animal on the planet - We only think we're more advanced because we don't have anything other than our thumbs and our inquisivity, which force us to create crutches so that we can survive.
