Now it can't be denied that skateboarding may be an element, but to call it the Fifth Element isn't exactly correct. According to the God Father of Hip Hop, Afrika Bambaataa, the Fifth Element is knowledge, wisdom, understand, peace unity, love, and fun. Yes all of them together to make the 5th element. Yes, all of those together. If you get the chance check out the Bboy History channel. There are a ton of documentaries.

Hip hop came from black and latino people acting black and latino. Seeing as the majority of skateboarders have been white throughout it's history it's safe to say that skateboarding is definitally not hip hop. Souls of Mischief just saw a market to sell their work to dorky white boys pretending to be street as did Wu Tang. P.S. I'm a dorky white boy who used to skate.
