Yes it will- mine was also GSM version. However, this ROM has either come a long way through a year since this video and will now be based on android 4.0, or has been completely discontinued.

this particular method won't, but there will be a recovery and custom roms for that version, have a look on xda

Hi, im a newbie at all this. Anyways I want to root my Motorola milestone so that I can overclock it, I don't want the custom roms. 1 ) Can I do this or not?

My phone is on the official 2.2.1 update, 2) will the link you provided still be able to root it?

If so, do i need to install vunerable recovery, rsd lite etc, if i am only wanting root.

3) what website to install the drivers for your phone?

Can you give me clear instructions to root my phone

Did you find out in the how to get to messaging, phone and so on? It's no use really to upgrade your phone if you haven't got those in the upgrade.

If you are going to make an instructional video, then instruct! Stop fidgeting with the phone, stop making lame jokes, and speak in a clear and professional tone. Also not all people are tech-junkies; some of us, in fact most of us that watch this are beginners and want something they can understand and follow.
