Another clue from the letter leads Firefly to the location of a poker game at Beachhead's barracks. Psyche Out, Cross Country, and Beachhead started without Shipwreck but he comes along soon enough. During the game, Firefly plants a few surprises around the building and then watches from afar.

See the G.I. Joe Adventure Playlist to watch them in order.

Director Commentary:
This scene is an homage to Lethal Weapon 2 of all movies. In that, the South Africans track down members of the LAPD, at one point at a poker party. The whole idea of a list of places to go and then Cobra hunting each one down is loosely based on that same plot.

The poker party required quite a bit of detail. Small cards, poker chips, a nice table, a barracks that at least kind of looks like a house, etc. The kitchen appliances are all made from paper since they didn't really need to be functional.

Beachhead's voice is obviously modeled after R. Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket.

  • Please don't tell me you killed Shipwreck !

  • no worries...shipwreck could never be defeated so easily!

  • man this is awesome love the annamtion...what program do you use...and are you doing fram by fram???

  • stop motion pro is my program of choice. it's mostly frame by frame but i will cheat a little and loop video sometimes if it needs to be longer to fit the dialogue.

  • Yes finally some action. Wut program did you use for the explosion? Paricle Illusion?

Nice movie so far maan. My only complaint is that there's not enough action so far, but you do have a lot of funny dialog.

  • Yep, Particle Illusion. Really good program.

I started to realize just how little action there was the more I made. The movie is more of a satire, but if I ever get around to finishing the planned battle scene, there will be action galore!

  • I'd like to see some credits.....SO I KNOW WHO MADE THIS AWSOME VID!!

  • i love this puppet show. they should make TV series like this.

  • Why does Shipwreck sound Mexican? Great video.

  • ya 80s- to early 90s was the peak for action figures, but kids still love the new style joes so it really doesn't matter.

  • I wished they would make a show about Joes and Formers in stop motion like this with more humor. It would be great! Robot Chickens ok, but I'd like to see a show thats mixed with toys that I grew up with in the 80's. Besides, all the greatest toys came from the 80's, but todays junk is better articulated.

  • thats still cool without sound,,,, but what happened?? why was it removed if u don't mind my asking? great job on the sets and the camera play check out my g.i joe stop-motion XD

  • theres more humor and character with these figures, and they really take us back. its awesome.

  • u no theres 25th aniversery now?

  • is there gonna be a sequel for this movie
