The unaired King Biscuit/Super Jams 2 episode featuring Journey, with interviews and intros with band members, doing their own tunes (they had only one album out, (with Steve Perry that is), "Infinity" at the time, and also them doing really great cover tunes. Also featuring, really the only times Steve duets with a female singer.

It was recorded in one day in October 1978 at the Automat Studios in San Francisco. Featuring guests: the Tower Of Power Horn Section, Tom Johnston of the Doobie Brothers and Annie Sampson & Jo Baker of Stoneground.

Journey at this time was: Steve Perry (vocals), Gregg Rolie (keys, vocals), Neal Schon (guitar), Ross Valory (bass) & Aynsley Dunbar (drums).

I had collected this show one painful song at a time years ago, and miraclously I think I got it all! I'm not 100% sure I got the track listing right. I numbered the tunes in the order I believe is correct, as well as I created a "playlist" on my page for easy access.

This recording has been one of my favorite Journey recordings ever since I first heard it. It really shows off their blues and R&B roots/beginnings. If anyone tries to tell you "Journey" or "Steve Perry" isn't cool - make them listen to this!

(And, yeah, I know, the one picture has Steve Smith in it instead of Aynsley - but it's hard to find good groups pictures with Aynsley in it!)

FIND YOU . Gregg kept pulling on the curtain for INFINITY EVOLUTION . Needless

to say Perry came back out for Lovin you is easy. To answer your question key in SUPER JAM And Im not a Perry Basher ENJOY real JOURNEY TIGHT ROADRUNNER

  • @19868441 or 1 more tour with Steve Perry

  • Perry has such a distinctive voice, even in a minimal part. No wonder others sought him for accompaniment, i.e. Bon Jovi and kenny Loggins.

  • Gregg Rolie left the band. Could not take one more mile of the road.

  • Really cool and good rare stuff here!!!! They sound like they are having fun and not something they are forced to do. I also think Gregg Rolie got a raw deal and should have remained a member! Thanks for the time you put in this post judywoz! You r great!

  • where can i get this? awesome
