When I was a student in Charles Nelson Reilly's acting class, often the best part of class was when Charles go off on a tangent, telling a story to explain an acting concept to an actor. Sometimes I was lucky to catch some of those stories on my tape recorder. Here he's talking about the importance of the words in the script. He tells this hilarious story about directing Hal Holbrook in "Evening Shade" and the importance of the word "robust". I have several more of these stories, and am hoping to also post them. This is an audio-only file.

  • Yes, Robert, pretty sure you were sitting next to me on those days I had my tape recorder in class. We sure did laugh! I do have more, but I have to get them into a share-able format.
