In August 2007 the Humane Society of the Ochocos, a small No-Kill shelter in Central Oregon undertook the rescue of over 100 feral cattle/ranch dogs. All but 18 have been adopted. The ones that remain are the blind, the elderly, and the most fearful. Susan and I believe that there is a home for each and every one of these dogs, however, in the meantime we depend on the generosity of others to help with their safe keeping.
