So, the best period to repot a phalenopsis is after the flowering I suppose... I have a problem though... my p. has stopped the flowering but has already the new small (very small, I can barely see them) flowers.. should I proceed with the repotting or not?

What do you do if you over water your Orchid and the roots smell like they started to rot, but the plant still looks healthy?

Hi Dawn, I do not recommend the plastic bag on a healthy phal. Instead, try a pebble tray with water. Also, remember that if you group your plants close together, they will retain more humidity naturally. Good luck and please visit the forum for more care advice. :) Cheers, Bruce

You can repot if in bud or bloom, just do not disturb the roots so much. Good luck to you. Visit the forum for more detailed advice.

If it smells like it is rotting, it probably is or perhaps the medium is rotting. Best repot. Visit the forum and post your question there along with a photo of the roots of this phal and let the members take a look. We can give you advice suited to your orchid. I hope all is okay with your phal. Good luck!
