Sergeant Matthis Chiroux served in the Army for five years, with tours in Afghanistan, Japan, Germany and the Philippines. Last month, Chiroux announced he would not deploy to Iraq. On Sunday, Father's Day, the deadline for him to report for active duty expired. [includes rush transcript]

@Y2KHorny no he is stupid just like you...a smart person doesnt desert from the military and anyone with him is a hippie.....he signed a legal contract and now he is breaking that contract, bottom line.. if u bought a car and a year down the road decide to stop paying it, u really cant complain when repo man takes it, or it goes againts your credit...thats the punishment for breaking the contract....HE BROKE A LEGAL CONTRACT, im not saying put him to death, im saying he cant just walk away

@hsybcmpny Thank you for this comment. I believe oaths/promises go both ways. More people would want to stay in the military if their was honesty and INTEGRITY going around. One of the Army values is Integrity and where does it go? Down the toilet.
